About

Stephen R. Scott showed an interest in cinema at a very early age. He grew up watching films of many different genres. Literature, drama, photography and painting have also been part of his passion and education.

A Media Studies graduate, he had the opportunity of attending masterclasses of Francis Ford Coppola, José Luís Cuerda or Carlos Saura. After beginning to write unproduced screenplays since the age of 14 and working in production for different Spanish films and spots, he made his debut as a director with the short film starring Anthony Nikolchev: "Dead Flowers” (2016), co-directing with Spanish filmmaker Pablo Riquelme and also co-writing with longtime collaborator Víctor Mondéjar. Stephen R. Scott is also the founder of Voight-Kampff Productions.

With a perennial interest in storytelling, some of the directors that have made a mark in his understanding of film are: Sergio Leone, Stanley Kubrik, Martin Scorsese, David Cronenberg, David Fincher, Joel & Ethan Coen, Sidney Lumet, as well as  Ridley Scott or the aforementioned Francis Ford Coppola.
